‘Brushstrokes for Christmas!
It’s back to the wellie- wearing season again here at Bull Mill – heavy rain over the past few days turned the lane into a torrent and brought a flood outside my cottage! The last few hazel leaves are clinging on in the woods and turn almost fluorescent yellow in the late autumn sunlight (I have in mind a series of paintings based on those. I’ll let you know when they materialise!)
Meanwhile, we have our exciting Bull Mill Christmas Bazaar starting on Saturday 3 – Sunday 11 December. I will have a wide range of work on show including three winter seascapes, including ‘Pagura’ Acrylic on canvas 101 x 81cm at the bottom. Also a wall of small ‘Christmas present’ paintings. Tanya will be showing lots of new pieces, including ‘Inari’ Oil on wood below (see more of Tanya’s work at www.tanyahinton.jimdo.com).
Come and join us to celebrate the run up to Christmas with a mince pie and a glass of mulled wine. There are lots more Christmas gift ideas in the rest of Bull Mill, see the card here for full details..
I’m showing a range of winter- themed paintings for inclusion in the Christmas Exhibition at the Jerram Gallery, Half Moon Street, Sherborne, Dorset DT9 3LN. Tel: 01935 815261. It runs from 26 November – 23 December. It includes ‘Hibera’ Acrylic on canvas 61 x 61cm at the top.
Three new canvases will be hanging in the Quartz Visual Arts Festival at Queens College, Trull Road, Taunton, TA1 4QS. It runs from Friday 16 – Thursday 22 December from 11-5pm. Tanya will also be showing some work there. Find out more here
